Hapi-Dal Dalmatians is a legacy line that was started by Ralph & Margaret Schools in Garden Grove, California in the early 1960’s with a dog named Tige (Ch. El-Tross Bluffer). He was tightly line bred and they blended El-Tross with Blackpool to begin the foundation of Hapi-Dal. They partnered with Susie Wilson (Wilson-Carroll) in the early 1970’s and the line is carried on by her daughters, Diana and Kristy Wilson in Lakewood, Colorado. In the early 1970’s our family bought our first Dalmatian from Margaret and Ralph and we enjoyed breeding many champions, specialty winners, best in show winners, and some of the top obedience Dalmatians of all time together. In the 80's, we formed great friendships and breeding partners in Benito and Teresita Vila (Montjuic Dalmatians) and Beverley Rutherford (Hidden Oaks Dalmatians). We still consider each of these people a part of our family and tremendous friends. You'll notice that several of the dogs on our website are owned, co-owned, bred or co-bred by or with Montjuic and Hidden Oaks Dalmatians. We moved to Colorado in 1989 and continue to breed top quality Dalmatians. Focusing on line breeding, we have consistently produced dogs with sound temperaments that are intelligent, healthy and conform to the standard. We are preservation breeders that keep health and temperament as the highest priority. We strive to breed happy, healthy, family companions.

All of our dogs have the recommended health testing done and are only bred if their results are good and/or clear and have their CHIC #. We have bred multiple group winners, a Best in Futurity winner (DCA 1984), multiple obedience high in trial winners and over 50 homebred champions. Focusing on line breeding, we have consistently produced dogs with sound temperaments that are intelligent, healthy and conform to the AKC standard.
